Will You Marry Me?

Will You Marry Me?
- March 24, 2017

Will you marry me?
If I had no food in my plates
No clothes on my hanger
No money in my pocket
No cars in my compound
But only a simple heart to give
A lovely spirit to offer
Will you marry me?

Will you marry me?
If I had enough yams in my barns
Enough money in my banks
Clothes on my hangers
Cars in my garage
Yet with a heart addicted to wickedness
A spirit obsessed with selfishness
Will you still marry me?

I thought you said love is blind
Why then must I meet your conditions
Can't I be me and you still be mine?
Let's pretend as if it's true I am none of these
And none of whom you knew
Will you still marry me?
